Li Shan Origin — Red Oolong From Taiwan’s renowned Li Shan region comes a truly rare tea. This Red Oolong was naturally bitten by the small green leafhopper (Jacobiasca formosana), the same insect responsible for the celebrated honey aroma of Eastern Beauty. Because of this year’s unique climate conditions, it’s the first time in over 30 years of collaboration with our Li Shan partner that such a tea could be produced. Color: Orange-Red Nose: Dried rose, dried plum, honeycomb, pomegranate juice Taste: Rose water, toasted grain, Grape-Nuts, pluot, clover honey, clay, spiced oatmeal cookie Finish: Warming, smooth, low acidity, low tannin, long and viscous finish Elegant and complex, this limited harvest expresses the harmony of Li Shan’s high-mountain terroir and nature’s own artistry—a tea that bridges oolong’s floral grace and black tea’s comforting depth.
