Taiwan Trip 2019
It is happening again. I am Taiwan bound. On St. Patrick's Day, I will be flying to Taipei, Taiwan, for an adventure in tea. I’ve been invited to an event where I will be brewing tea on Mt. Ah Li for the weekend of March 23-24. This promises to be fun and I will be writing from the road, so be sure to check in for updates.
Taiwan… the sights, the sounds, the smells, the people, the food, and of course, the tea.
It has been two years since my last trip. Now, as I’ve explained over and over in the teahouse, I am trying to be responsible to the business. And I have two young boys… three and five and three quarters that I am responsible for. So I have made the final shift from treating my business as a hobby to treating it as a business. This business developed out of my love and passion for tea and the need to share that. Over the last few years, I’ve also developed a passion for business. This is because at the heart of a small business like J-TEA is connection. Its real goal is to connect with people: our awesome and dedicated staff and our customers. Over the years, it has come to my attention that J-TEA is a special place. In part, this is due to the simplicity - just tea - and the quality of our offerings.
