White Tea

White tea is the quietest tea we carry. Minimal processing, minimal intervention — young leaves picked and allowed to dry naturally, with no fixing step to halt oxidation. What you get is something delicate and honest, closer to the plant itself than almost any other tea.

The two main styles are Silver Needle, made from the unopened bud alone, and White Peony, which includes the second and third leaf alongside the bud. Silver Needle is the more refined and expensive of the two — pure, light, almost ethereal. White Peony has a bit more body and character, which makes it more forgiving to brew and easier to drink daily.

What most people don't know is that white tea ages beautifully. We currently carry an aged White Peony that has developed a depth and richness you wouldn't expect from a tea this delicate. If you've only had fresh white tea, the aged version is worth experiencing — it's a completely different conversation.
