Golden Lily Black Tea

One of the coziest feelings is sipping a warm cup of Golden Lily Black Tea in the comfort of your home on a rainy day. The gentle patter of raindrops outside and the soothing warmth of this tea create an experience that feels almost unmatched. What makes this particular batch of black tea extraordinary is its unique, creamy texture and taste that give the sensation of milk being added—yet not a single drop of milk is present. This creamy flavor profile is almost unfathomable, a phenomenon attributed to the tea's specific amino acids and natural lipid content, which create a velvety mouthfeel that coats the palate with every sip. The cultivar Jin Xuan, translating to “Golden Lily,” is known in the United States as Milk Oolong. However, it’s important to note that this versatile cultivar isn’t limited to producing oolong tea alone. Golden Lily can be crafted into various types of tea, including this rich and satisfying black tea. Our Golden Lily Black Tea comes from Ming Jian, a prominent tea-growing area located in Nantou County, Taiwan.

Nantou accounts for 60 to 70 percent of all Taiwanese tea production, benefiting from a mild climate and nutrient-rich soil that impart complex flavors to the leaves. This region’s ideal growing conditions ensure that each cup of tea brims with depth and character.
