Hamish Jackson Teapots

The wood-fired kiln in Pleasant Hill attracts potters from around the world, and we’ve been fortunate to have Hamish Jackson in residence. Originally from England, Hamish has been honing his pottery skills for many years, and his craftsmanship is truly exceptional. Over the past year, we’ve developed a strong connection, thanks to our shared love of tea.

Recently, I was telling Hamish about a famous tea vendor in Taiwan, someone I had only heard about. This vendor was well-known for a clever marketing tactic—occasionally, he would hide a teapot inside random bags of tea. Customers would buy the tea in hopes of finding one of these hidden treasures.

During our conversation, I had an idea. I suggested to Hamish, "What if you used tea as the packaging material for your teapots?" After some thought, we decided to move forward with this concept. Hamish's teapots purchased on the J-TEA website, will now be packed in Bai Mu Dan, a fluffy, white tea.

I plan to make a video unboxing one of these tea-packed teapots, so stay tuned for that on YouTube! If you order a Hamish Jackson teapot, it will arrive packed in Bai Mu Dan, and you can brew the tea that surrounds your new teapot.

Cheers, and happy sipping!
