Finish: Buttery, Medium-Low Tannins, Low Acid, Medium-Short Finish
This tea really took me by surprise. It pours so dark, even from the first steep and hits you right away with savory, brothy notes. Corn, bay leaf, apple peel, and then suddenly this really substantial white pepper note comes in. Incredibly smooth and obviously very well stored. Clean and so drinkable. I'm going to have to order a whole brick soon.
Drinking cooked Puer is like drinking earth, a wet old growth Oregon forest floor to be specific.. so this tea really hits the spot when I want to drink something that is both rich and calming just like a hike through some big, rain- soaked trees in the fall.
