Ye Sheng Qiao Mu means wild grown ancient tree. Ancient tree refers to a tea plant of over 150 years in age. In this case the purplish leaves are plucked from plants that are reported to be over a thousand years old. Whether the plant is actually one thousand years old, or somewhere approximating 1000 years old, we cannot be certain, but we can tell that the plant that produced these leaves is very old. Piney, resinous, crisp and clean like a lemon with green brightness and hints of smoke, grapefruit, and pine nuts. The feeling of this tea is soothing and stimulating.
